WildStar has a new game director, Chad “Pappy” Moore, and he has written about what fans can expect from the game this year.
Moore outlined the plans for the upcoming year in a blog post on the WildStar website. The recently announced update Destination Arcterra adds a new max-level zone that features “unique design mechanics, great rewards, eye-popping art, and an epic storyline.”
The update will also include the second chapter in the Nexus Saga, Vault of the Archon. This will be WildStar’s first story-based instance that’s multiplayer, as you can choose to play solo or with up to five people.
There is also a new raid coming called Redmoon Terror. It won’t be going live with the Destination Arcterra update, however, some early testing will be done during the Arcterra public test realm phase.
In addition, Carbine is working on a new Expedition, and an Item Upgrade system that allows players to make their gear look even better. As for PvP, “a number of initiatives” are being worked on that will “improve the overall experience” for everyone.
